Dear all,
for all those who appreciate the lovely Citroen GS, I've got some pictures from a trip in the Alps with three GSes.
This is where we gathered - Špik mountain viewpoint, Julian Alps, Slovenia.
While waiting for the third car, we took a stroll to a nearby source of Sava river.
Next, we drove over a mountain pass into Austria.
Our goal: Villach Alpine Road (Villacher Alpenstrasse).
We took a lot of photos in the parking area at the top of the road.
We also stopped a couple of times on the way down.
Finally, we drove from Villach to Tarvisio in Italy.
The beige GS had a little problem with fuel pump, sorted out easily by the roadside.
In Italy, we stopped by Lago del Predil.
We had more plans - we wanted to drive across another mountain pass back into Slovenia, and drive up another Alpine road, the highest in Slovenia, which would bring us up to the altitude of over 2000 m.
But it started to rain, so we took the easy road back, and had a great lunch in ski resort town of Kranjska gora.
Taking it easy was a good choice, because I had a visitor from South Africa with me, who needed to catch his flight back to Johannesburg later in the day.
