The clocks sprung forward, another month rolled past and a few days of weather that doesn't promote a rapid onset of S.A.D means we've all had a whiff of summer in our nostrils.
This perfect storm meant I knew to expect a decent evening on Saturday, I wasn't disappointed.
With oil slick deep paintwork and all the right bits could this perhaps be too perfect?
Honest little Spitfire
Kustom Consul
12sec R32. The exhaust was as loud as the colour.
A little bit of Coggers
Beautiful Caddy limped out on maybe 5 or 6 cylinders.
Pretty Ford 'rod
Ste and his good lady in the immaculate boosted 240.
A Maxi. A good looking design that seems to be desperately under represented at classic meets.
Rat truck on air.
RRG hill climb veteran sounded brutal.
Now, I'm not usually a fan of Mustangs but this looked so right.
Impossibly clean 'Rocco
Coffee and cream Silverado
I find myself drawn to R32s.
Rich's Avenger potentially has some changes on the horizon
Mopar time!
Firstly, a Dodge Wayfarer not-so-business coupe hides a dirty secret.
For the eagle eyed viewer, yes, that's a 1JZ!
I love a nose down stance on these B-bodies.
Obligatory Roadrunner
And a Dodge Dart, this one looking infinitely better after a freshen up last year.
Epitome of the South London look?
I thought this had turned up for the meet but the owners hopped out and went to do a weekly shop!
'For charity'
Another freshly painted car, this time Mels Rambler.
Faux-rust Volksrod.
Conversely here's an immaculate Splitty.
Love the attitude of this Viva. No change in all the years I've seen it.
A pair of radically different Mk1 Fiestas
A pair of 6cylinder dubs
Everyone loves Cobras, right?
Slipping through the crowd.
Going full redneck
A little 50s car full of big 50s rockers.
So well executed
Pleasantly low
This sounded like the 90s
Sitting pretty across the carpark.
Tough truck.
Does this need white lettered tires to be a muscle car?
Period.
I'd entertain an E39 M5.
"Princess Anne had one you know!"
A proper Japanese supercar! Not a GTR in sight.
Some familiar metal parked about the place.
Viceroy and LOLvo having a low-off.
POWAHH!!
'75 Chevrolet Impala
James' Mercury, being a similarly sized yacht, took to port nearby.
Again, there for the meet or to shop? Who knows and either way it was worth a pap.
Yet another boat, this time an Oldsmobile.
What meet is complete without a Tri-Chevy on display? This one is particularly loud and pristine.
A nice Beetle is universally approved I feel, even if just aesthetically.
Cummings Bentley.
A likely looking rabble.
Gorgeous Ranch Wagon is missing from my life.
A couple more of that Splitty
Then once the sun was truly down it dropped cold quick but I hung about and snapped some stuff as it filtered away
Damn that car is even cooler at night!
Mark making his escape
And that couple with a bootfull of Aldi bags
I had to until dusk to capture the majesty of this paint.
And I'll end on abit of Mopar porn and illicit bun dealing. Not as romantic as moonshine is it?
and that is your lot until next month!
