If it's a XUD lump just put it in the tank used to run my Citroen on 100% veg with no problems, probably worth carrying a spare fuel filter just in case though!

Make sure it has a Bosch pump first.

If your fuel pump looks like this, you'll be fine. If it doesn't, you can't run veg.

As said, make sure it has a Bosch pump first, a Lucas pump is a different design which can seize up using veg oil and throw the cam belt. I used to run pure veg oil all year round with a little splash of 2-stroke oil, never had an issue starting, but you'll have trouble if there's any air leaks. Check around the primer bulb and the fuel filter housing, 98% of air leaks come from those places. If you advance the fuel pump slightly to inject the fuel earlier, it'll start a lot easier but at the cost of increased diesel knock and noise, only wants to be a small amount. Also, as said keep some spare fuel filters, paper towels and a 6mm (iirc) allen key in case the fuel filter blocks. I won't happen abruptly, you'll start to lose power over 2.5k first and it'll gradually get worse until it just won't rev, but change it as soon as it starts to struggle

If its a lucas pump, get a Bosch jobbie, very easy to swop over... don't forget to get the injectors & pipes as well.

I often go to these guys. Not sure if there is any near you. Normally about the same price as veg oil without the other problems. Tax etc. As I'm sure you are aware veg oil often mirrors the price of diesel per litre. www.bristolbiofuel.com/quality.html
