I have for sale one Mk1 MX5 1.6 engine/gearbox from a 1990 car so doesn't need a cat.
I bought it for the amount advertised about 8 months ago with every intention of fitting it to my Dolomite. Sadly time constraints and too many other projects mean that this is one mad cap plan too many so I'm passing it on to someone else who can do something more useful with it.
It is a complete setup with everything needed to a conversion including a complete wiring loom for the front of the car, ECU, hoses, radiator, clutch, prop-shaft, sensors, the lot. The only thing missing is a clutch slave.
It was sold as a runner with 90k and I have no reason to disbelieve this. There is a small oil leak from the back of the cam on the sensor which is easy to do with the engine out.
Just ask for more info.
The whole lot fits in the back of an estate with some ease and I have a crane for loading.
