Yesterday Brands Hatch hosted the Masters Raceday which followed the 2-day Historic Festival - the Monday is a lower-key event but was fantastic - some great cars, grids and good races. Sadly my camera packed up after about 2 pics so I had to use the phone camera for the rest of the day. Apologies for the lack of quality and all a bit point n' shoot.
I got all giddy when I saw this - like a 9 year old all over again...
And the RS500 stayed ahead of these all the way to the flag for 4th - some sliding en route
This won and looked extremely well-sorted
Wonderful howl from this - there's a video at the bottom somewhere
This recreation was very quick when running properly
Internet points available for a couple of spots here
Probably the UK's most successful racecar?
This Golf was beautifully-presented, quick and well-driven
This Dutch Falcon won fairly easily - surprisingly agile I would say.
This gorgeous Abarth really hounded the Coopers
The noise from this was like a bomber - lovely.
Sadly didn't run
The RSOC did a lunchtime low-speed parade - note the red RS200 (with ironic WYT number plate.....or is it just me that gets that?!)
