Hi, if you have got one of the smaller ones keep an eye on Ebay for receivers being sold with broken compressors. Which you can discard and connect their receiver to yours to increase the capacity. Or even empty calor cylinders once washed out. Colin That's a good idea - my 50 litre one does most of what I need it to but it does have to run a fair bit when spraying. It's not a problem and for my needs the 50 litre compressor is more versatile than the 100 litre machine. I can see why the advice is to buy as big as you can get though. I have a few empty 7kg calor cylinders lying around and one of those could be set up remotely. How do you connect your compressor to a calor gas cylinder? I think you will need a bigger compressor if yours keeps running all the time even with a 50 ltr tank. If a 50 ltr takes 3 mins to fill then add another 50 ltr tank and it will take 6 mins. The only way around that is by using a bigger compressor. That so why propessional compressors in paint shops, tyre bays, workshops etc are so big

Hi, I've not done it but you need to 'T' into the line from the compressor to the receiver then get an adaptor to go either into the cylinder itself by removing the valve or into the valve on it. (you need to take all necessary precautions with this bit, if you're not sure or happy doing it, DON'T) Use a made up hydraulic hose from Pirtek or similar to join the cylinder to the 'T'.

Cheers Colin - I might have a look into that just for fun of messing about and making something out of a scrap cylinder.
Mine doesn't run all the time, it will spray a panel and then the compressor motor runs for a bit towards the end of the panel. It runs for about 30 seconds at a time.
