I've seen a burgundy type colour H plate Astra GTE a couple of times now around the Snodland/Larkfield area, its not you is it Darren? Not a car you see very often,if at all, thats for sure.
Got 'CJN' booked in down at Fast Road Conversions in Ashford this week to finally get the downpipe and flexi made up in stainless to match the rest of the system they built a while back. When the Beams engine went in the old mild steel pipe was utilised, and was only going to be temporary. That was a while ago LOL.So,thatll be another job done.

Short update, car has been running well but I've had to remove the Ferodo pads, they just havent bedded in well and theyve actually got a lip at the top where they seem to overlap the disc for some reason, they're supposed to be the exact fitment for the disc setup I have but they're not right, was getting vibration under braking, swapped them for a set of standard pads and the shaking has gone,so its not premature disc warp or anything else.Problem is the car doesnt get used as a daily so it takes a while to get the mileage on it,so the pads have been in there for a while.I've been in touch with the guys i ordered them through to tell them of the issue.I wouldnt normally mind so much but they arent doing the job and they were bloody expensive. you can also see that the material has flaked off in some small pieces, leaving that rather jagged looking edge. Not overly impressed.

Still here! Car is running well, swapped the iffy Ferodo's over to some more OEM style pads, but I'm going to have a think about the long term brake plans.ST205 calipers are heavy but provide seriously good stopping power but they wont fit behind my wheels,so thats probably a no go.We'll see.Car is due to go into bodyshop next month for repaint of both sides and bonnet/headlamp covers,so ill post some pics up of how that comes out!
