I watched the last programme online as I missed it in real time, it was very odd when the opening intro came on and it wasnt Clarksons voice on the intro
during the programme though, I seemed to be a bit bored after 10 mins or so, but stayed with it
when it got to near the end, I don't actually remember a conclusion to the classic car part.. was there one?
during the 4x4 part, there were many tracks in the fields where they had rehearsed, this isnt something I ever noted in other parts of the shows history where they might be driving off road, just didnt seem quite right.
on one of Clarksons voice overs, he said "This is the reason I hate Top Gear", I have a feeling that was added in after he left, I am pretty sure he would not have said that otherwise.
the closing comments just seemed too rehearsed, it didnt sound natural, like they had no input on what was to be said, and then of course they did not play the top gear music to end the credits, perhaps suggesting that we wont hear that music again.. dunno
overall all a bit odd, not certainly not memorable
I don't mind chris evans, and although I don't listen to the radio, when he did the recent TGI Friday it was full of Top Gear elements, the programme was really good and very fast moving like it used to be, however I will give the new Top Gear a chance but I think that it will be short lived.
Steve Coogan might have been a better choice.
