Hello Retro Rides.
After quite a bit of thought it has been decided that I am going to have to sell my van to fund a new truck. Because of such that means that all the parts I have collected for my Caddy Van will be coming up for sale.
It seemed like the only logical idea, to put a VR6 in my unsuspecting old work van and that is what we started to do.
When looking for a conversion package I wanted the best I could get, I would have hated to go to all of the trouble of installing an engine to find out it was a smokey old dog, or had some chronic fault or terminal issue. A good friend had a VR6 come in, so we separated the good parts from the rusty shell and that is what we have here. I personally drove the car and it went very well, no knocks, bangs clunks or anything concerning, went very well (and looking back at how well it went it makes me want to carry out the conversion!).
Here is a list of what we removed and is included in the sale. I have a comprehensive amount of history for the engine.
VR6 engine, box & ancillaries - Has History up to 120K, cant remember the exact mileage
Complete car loom - That's right, we pulled out every wire, so you know that you will get every loom you need.
Key, ECU, transponder, dials all matching and complete
Front subframe, crossmember including engine mounts, hubs, wishbones, steering rack
Driveshafts
Rear beam including hubs, spindles, brakes, sensors
ABS pump & ECU
Hydro pedal box
Master cylinders for brake and clutch including pots (which are usually required)
Steering column with wheel and airbag
Front brakes
Manifold and Cat
Petrol Ibiza ARB to clear Cat
VR6 fuel pump
Complete standard suspension
If there is anything that is required for the conversion and is not listed please let me know, because I think I have listed it all there.
Here are some photos.
I am going to put a price on this of £600, but please bear in mind that this is a negotiable price and I am willing to take an offer.
I am based in Kent, I can meet part way or have it shipped on a pallet for £50.
Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
