Anybody shed any light on why there might not be any power to the injectors please?
Edit. May not be the injector loom, there's definitely a good spark, possibly fuel pump or pressure reg?

Haven't worked on one for years but fuse box was always a good place to start looking when things stopped working .

ECU provides voltage and they are switched by the earth, usually it's a problem in the wirings on top of the engine, the multiplug pins corrode so check there first Ford called it the wiggle test LOL, wiggle the wiring till you get a connection then remember where you were wiggling the wires. If you can get at the ECU plug check for voltage at the injector pins, if it's there at the ECU you know it's the wiring this may help but a google of EECIV pinouts will get you diagrams of the pinouts www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=159366does the fuel pump pressure up on IGN on ?, the fuel pump relay triggers the ECU relay that then powers the ECU so if either relay of fues is gone there will be no power at the injectors ?

Cheers for all the suggestions, i will check all the relays tonight and see if the ECU is giving a voltage, the fuel pump is priming and fuel is definitely getting to the rail

I seem to remember a similar fault with mine that was caused by a switch in the tailgate door seal. It was designed to stop the fuel pump in an accident but somehow got set off by a bumpy road. I'm sure it had a reset switch somewhere but it's been years.

Yeah, its under the spare wheel, has caught me out in the past, have had more of a play, its looking like the fuel pump may be on its way out as its sounding a bit noisey, going to try a spare pump and if that doesn't help I have a pressure tester on the way to check fuel pressure and I have been offered a noid lamp to check injector wiring

Slight update, the fuel pump is working, there is spark, I have had a noid light on the injector loom and there is no signal at all, all the relays in the fuse box seem to be working and have continuity once closed, I have changed the ECU and that's made no difference at all, the engine is earthed, is there any specific earth for the injectors? Is there anything else anybody can think of? Could the crappy immobiliser be causing it to not start?
Thanks for any help

The ecu earths the injectors they have a perm live, a noid light will on tell you if the curcuit is compleated so you need to find out if there is a live at the injectors or no earth path (test meter), 9 times out of 10 its the loom plugs and there is no live to the injectors, the injectors fire in pairs so there is a live into all 4 and 2 earth returns to the ECU, if non are firing i'd suspect the live feed to the injectors ??
