I've always been a Landrover guy and now have the opportunity to buy/build one. I also love to travel although at uni can't be flying off for months at an end I've been toying up the idea of building an expedition Defender. 110 most probably as 90 would be to small for all the kit i want, i have an old 86' 110 languishing at the bottom of the garden that would be the base vehicle, but what i'm wanting to ask is has anyone done this? If so what routes did you take? Also Alucab managed to cut the roofline and create a folding up tent incorporating the roof, anyone know of any companies that do this? Cheers for listening to may waffling, here's my 'dream landy'

I have a friend who preps vehicles for a living and is always happy to give advice. Contact Brendan via his website www.4x4overlander.com/ and I'm sure he'd be only too happy to talk to you.
