I used to have a 420sdi, wicked wicked engines with none of the mechanical/electrical gremlins of new age diesels. 1.1bar boost & vp37 tuning box it went like stink,best £200 car I ever brought very under rated!

I got myself a boost gauge yesterday going to get it fitted ready to up the boost once my sdi injectors are fitted. They are easy tuned good gains for little lay out.

Had the camper van in for its mot today failed on 1 wheel bearing and 12" or welding. Changed the bearing and back in the morning for the welding. while I had the tools out I thought I would have a look at the exhaust on the rover and found this

It started to rain time was getting on nights getting darker earlier already, so I have left it, see what time i get the camper back from the mot and might have a crack at it tomorrow.

a decat also peps these up nicely. I had a 420di Executive and I loved it! the gearchange was a bit vauge but I couldn't be bothered to change the bushes....

It has a de cat that as been put on by 12" bolts need to sort full system out, its a bit bodged no gaskets bit gaffer tape cable ties a wing and a prayer. if you cant fix cars leave alone!!!

fitted my boost gauge and turned the boost up to 18psi, on the owners club they say the can handle 20 to 22 psi but think I will play it safe at 18 psi. will try and get some pictures up later if photo bucket plays game.

Sad to say the rover 45 has gone. She was a fantastic car I didn't want to let her go but had the chance at another car I had in my teenage years, a real mini. The wife would of killed me if I kept 3 cars again. I pick the mini up mid October its a 85 mini 25 limited edition had new floors sills and all welding done, and painted Saturn black that will need sorting will start a new thread when I bring her home
