Hey all,
So I've got a 2.0 pinto capri with a weber 32/36 dgav carb.
I've rebuilt the carbs and put them back on the engine but following the guides to set them up is making the car run like curse word.
It says bottom out the mixture screw them back it out 1.5 turns then set the idle screw so its only .5 of a turn on the lever for the throttle. So far so good.
Now it says turn the idle screw til it's running at the fastest/smoothest idle, which should be about 1 turn either way.
The problem is mine is running best when it's completely bottomed out which surely means it's running lean or rich?
Anybody got any experience with setting up carbs? Every time I try set it up properly the car runs like curse word.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
