Today is my fortieth birthday. Yesterday I was at the top of my game, at the very pinnacle of my own awesomeness at the very top of 'The Hill'. Today I have started the descent down the other 'wrong' side. So, as a pick-me-up, what great cars are also 40 this year? I'll start the ball rolling: and of course they'll hopefully become tax free in the near future. Smiler.

meltdown, if you don't think that's great then you'd better not look at any of my cars. That's awesome! There are some really cool cars there. Here's another model that was launched 40 years ago this year: The Scimitar SE6. (not mine) Should have put that in the original post really considering I currently own two Scimitars...

Well, smiler, I'm a not-dis-similar age to you. I was going to post a picture of one of my all time favourite cars, the Citroen CX but that was introduced in '74 so instead I'll give you The Chevrolet Monza. Not a great car by any means straight out of the box, but definitely got potential:-

oops, sorry Vader, hello and welcome to the forum. Always liked the Stag. No problem, I'd post a photo. If I knew how. It's having some TLC at the moment. Don't know if I should be on this forum because it's not customised just different wheels!!! Cheers

Wow, 1975 appears to have been a very good year indeed!
I share my fortieth year with some very good company.

Don't know if I should be on this forum because it's not customised just different wheels!!! Cheers Hey, this is Retro-Rides, anything goes. There are folks on here going to great lengths to get their rides true to how it left the factory. Does it still have it's correct V8 fitted? (there is no less desirable answer to this question)
