The 'vert hadn't turned a wheel for over three weeks so today I thought 'sod the rain' and me, the boss and our daughter went to Whitworth Hall. Winning on many levels, this place - amazing food, a huge herd of deer to feed and a Sunday car show.
We dumped the Mustang on the field (good turnout already) and went for food, which was very nice indeed. Bought some deer food and got savaged by a herd of the buggers, then had a wander around the cars. Lots of pics here, sorry if there's too much
Very clean Alfa soft top:
Bob's Lincoln Towncar copcar rep:
Mine with the boss lurking behind:
Not sure what this was - all these old cars look the same to me
Possibly the cleanest Acclaim on the planet - for sale but didn't get any details:
One of my favourites of the day - very clean Mustang convertible:
...And another early Mustang, this time a beautiful 302-engined coupe:
Another antique:
Dinky little Fulvia:
Bullnose Morris:
These always make me think of Wallace and Gromit now, even though theirs was a van:
Interceptor - was hoping for an SP but twas even better than that, an FF!
Love this 500 on whitewalls:
Not really my cup of tea, but this Esprit was exceptionally clean:
F-type Victor with a particularly nice two-tone scheme:
Nice early Spitfire:
E-type FHC:
Lea Francis number one...
...and Lea Francis number two!
Used to have a P5B saloon in this colour scheme, my favourite:
Sunbeam Rapier:
Unusual colour for a 1600E:
One of two very nice early Hunters, the other was a gold estate:
Singer Vogue, looking good in white with whitewalls:
Sunbeam Stiletto - I have a real craving for one of these but a porker like me would look plain daft in one
1980 Transam - one owner since 1988, I like a lot!
Something about this M3 looked not-standard but very nice - is it the wheels?
Can't believe how VW-ish these look from the rear! Merc camper:
There were shedloads more beautiful cars there but some of them had left by the time I started snapping and my retractable leash was reeled in before I could take pics of others. This is deffo on for the list next year though!
