That all sounds like good news mate. Nice fresh suspension and brakes and you are even happy with the price. Not tempted to just keep it now...? Aha depends what the total price comes to just yet.. The temptation was there but I think selling is still where I'm at, if I was keeping longer term I'd probably have looked into some coilovers and do all the suspension in one go

Its back! Yep nearly a week after it went in for an MOT, the 750 is fixed and back in my possession Lets have a quick run down of what needed doing: A brake pipe at the front A brake hose at the rear A radius arm bush at the rear A strut at the rear The rear strut was a real pig to get off, a bit tricky to source a replacement for and difficult to refit but its done and the rear of the car definitely feels better than it did before. Apparently the damper itself was still in good condition but because of the rust around the spring pan, the whole thing had to go. Many more miles and it could have been very interesting if the spring pan had let go.. The rear brake flexi and bush were fairly straightforward The front pipe was in pretty poor nick and disappeared off into the depths of the engine bay so rather them doing that job than me! In looking at that, it was discovered that the front discs were heavily worn (check the bottom of page 7 if you don't believe me ) so a pair of those had to go on, no real biggy, rest of the brake system is in pretty good nick. I think a lot of the time was spent taking the back seat and all its assorted electrics out in order to get to the top of the rear strut.. Anyway, after all that and a not inconsiderable amount of the Queen's finest pounds sterling, its sorted Which means sadly it shall be up for sale soon, there are a couple of little niggly things I'll try and sort before then so there'll likely be some small updates on here. An interesting thing I've learnt from this, it would appear that the self levelling rear suspension system and EDC are still hooked up and working so thats a nice bonus at least!

Just seen this on facebook Ha! I didn't know it was being shared on facebook already! Yeah I finally got round to putting the 7 up for sale at a price which means it probably won't sell straight away but I've got some room to reduce that later on. Its been a great car for me and has dispelled all the internet myths of V12's being huge scary things which do single figure mpg's but its just not the right car for me at the moment The Saab should be following it in going up for sale soon but that has a few issues which I'm undecided whether to sort or not in order to improve its chances

And its gone! Chap came round to view this morning, liked it and has bought it so there ends my V12 ownership I've enjoyed it all round, I went into it with a little trepidation with the 750 being a 200k mile, tech fest of a car. But in reality there was no need to fear it as its been a reliable and relatively economical thing to run about in So I'm back in the Saab for the time being but that runs out of MOT and Tax at the turn of the year so a new car will likely be on the way in December, I don't currently know what it will be but its unlikely to be a V12 Quick thanks to those guys (I think mostly on this thread) who had given me tips on how to keep the '50 running and happy

Well done, always mixed feelings when something like that sells. On the one hand "I'll miss that" ,on the other "thank god I got out of that without open wallet surgery occurring".

GT4ME Think you've absolutely nailed it there I do miss it but am so glad nothing went seriously wrong in my ownership aha village Haha I get it taunting me every day in the car park now raymondmarble Aye, V12 power has been everything I hoped for I suppose this might mean the MG thread gets a bit of an update as its rather been neglected of late.. Also the Saab is looking likely to be sold in the very near future so a thread on a new daily may appear if its of a suitable age
