It's been a while since I've been on here properly but I remember saying I would get you a decent picture of my Style 32's. Maybe a polished lip would finish yours off nicely? Edited to add; sorry about all the junk - I can't roll the car out of the garage at the mo and this is my spare wheel in the loft!

Cheers for the comments guys, also cheers for the pic of the refurbed wheel, looks great with the polished rim but i'll probably take a different route. Looks nice, but i just can't stand black wheels!, look at the last pic, it just looks like nothing! wheels are lost and it looks like your hub caps have fell off! Apart from that it's a lovely car, i'm a big e34 fan Agree, the black was only intended to be temporary, will be buying new centrecaps soon too. Eh, can't say I'm much a fan of the black on black look, but it's not too bad. I personally would've went with RAL9022 pearl light grey - I had that on a cosmosblack E36 with some 18" Style 32s and it worked really well. Now that the car's blacked out the trim looks really faded - I'd suggest making that next on your list to fix up! Kinda jealous of this, had a E34 525i myself but I was stupid enough to sell it... Funny you suggested light grey as that's exactly what i have in mind when i get then redone properly, looking at the previous pics i like the look of the front wheels when they were grey primer so was thinking along those lines, definitely don't want anything too bling. Never noticed the faded trim TBH, have a bit of trim to replace on the drivers door and the kidney grill trims so will look at the rest then. Will need to wait for now though as i've just spent a pile of money on suspension bits for the Discovery. In the mean time the car is driving superb and i love it

You can just try carefully heating the trim up with a heat gun - it does wonders to black trim, it gets really dark and fresh looking when you heat it up and stays that way for a long while. But be careful, you can easily melt it when you heat it too much!

Looking great, Mark. Absolutely gutted I got rid of this. Big mistake. Cheers Neil, really sorry the Citroen didn't work out for you. Saying that i'm finding it hard to justify keeping the E34, it's hardly used, still have a bit more work to do to it before the MOT (replaced the front control arms, brake and fuel pipes), going to SORN it at the end of the month.

Thought i'd update this since there is other E34 activity on here now Been doing work to it over the last few weeks for the MOT, test was actually due 1st of Jan but i don't need the car for transport so have been taking my time with it, just giving it a good check over (i was a tester back in the 90's), and fixing the advisories from the last test, have replaced the rear brake pipes and the return fuel pipe (used microbore copper tubing from B&Q for this), also fitted new front thrust arms (or top control arms)as the bushes had been advised. Also advised was a cracked outer headlight, would have passed but was bugging me, sensible option would have been a new outer headlight so i went for a full set of smoked headlights www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEADLIGHTS-DARK-FOR-BMW-E34-SERIES-5-88-95-SERIES-7-E32-88-92-NEW-FANALI-/371531783089?hash=item5681051bb1:g:nb0AAOSwKtlWlriMWas initially concerned about the legality of these, general consensus is they will pass an MOT ok but could get pulled by Traffic Police, recon i should get away with it with the car being black, they are not a really heavy smoke, and i don't drive like a tit. Got the front stripped already, all came apart easily, E34's are great to work on. Will try and keep this thread updated with the progress.

Got the MOT done last Saturday, passed with no advisories Got the front of the car built back up the previous week with the new dark headlights, really like the look of these, still to get the kidney grill trims sorted which should lift the otherwise very dark front end. Also got the Style 32's redone, really wasn't sure about colour, didn't want black, gunmetal, grey or silver, considered bronze or light grey, they didn't have a bronze so i went for this. It's kind of dark green metallic, half wishing i'd gone for light grey, finish is excellent though and they do shimmer when the light hits them so i may like them better once on the car with new centre caps etc. Also got some suspension bits done for the Lotus (not the shockers, sprayed those a while ago), charged £50 for the arms and springs, this is the first time i've had powdercoating done, will definitely be getting more bits done, realised the time i've wasted over the years mincing about wire brushing and painting bits myself.

nice car you got there...I am not usually a fan of black wheels but actually like what you have done with these...perhaps a dark grey or similar color as a rim pinstripe just to call them out a bit....not a criticism at all....looks great
