Had the 924 MOT'd yesterday which went well but had a new centre pipe on the exhaust as the old one was badly holed and leaking and blowing. Anyway my idle speed has dropped from 850-900 rpm down to about 450-500....guessing this is due to the exhaust fix? Is it just a case of a simple adjustment needed? Normal running is better than before just the lower idle. Thanks  |

you would think it would just run smoother with no change to the idle speed
unless you have disturbed something
just re-adjust the idle speed and that should sort it

If the idle was adjusted to correct for the exhaust gradually leaking then it will be out now it's fixed. Just check carefully which screw on the throttle body is the right one. If I remember right there is one that adjusts the throttle stop which isn't the right one to touch - the information must be available somewhere which is the correct adjustment.
