I'd only noticed it recently when I got "followed" by someone I don't know personally but I thought OK they must have their reasons so carry on Then I was reading one of luckyseven picture threads and I thought oooh what if I "follow" him - will I get a notification of a new thread created by him? - so I clicked "follow" in his profile and thought let's see what happens Today as it happens a new L7 thread was created but no notification was received....... (well not that I am aware of - I am pretty retarded so may not have spotted the blindingly obvious - Mrs BC reminds me of that often) Damn......... Damn......... Drat......... Blast........ So can I ask is there any funtionality behind it or is it just like a "Fan boi" and appeals to people who judge people by the number of followers or post count (quality not quantity rules in my book.......) err - hmmmm *looks left "shakes head" wonders if there is any hope of not being judged for not living up to my own std /leaves post before more damage is done

Lol, I'm touched Although I have to admit I've encountered the same thing... I thought followising might be a good way to stop missing half the cool threads that I, well, miss. But it doesn't seem to. It's especially baffling because the "Participated" function and "NEW" button only seem to last active on threads you've contributed to for a certain amount of time. And there's not even any indication whether you've already posted in a thread like on most forums... a few times I've thought "oooh, that looks interesting" only to find I've already posted in there and since I'd slept since then, completely forgotten

Oh I am such a chuffing retard............... Ignore me HoTWireFor those of you who want to know the third tab accross in your profile page FOLLOWING - if you click that it brings up both posts created and posts in other threads by who ever you are following So new question - can we screen that to just post Author rather than contributions in other peoples threads (or filter by either) I mean you fixed the loading pictures thingy Can't be too hard* to chuck a filter on *yeah I know nothing so perhaps best I don't comment

Lol, I'm touched Definately touched..... but in a nice way that doesn't mean the men want to put you in a jacket with no sleeves and take you away Although I have to admit I've encountered the same thing... I thought followising might be a good way to stop missing half the cool threads that I, well, miss. But it doesn't seem to. It's especially baffling because the "Participated" function and "NEW" button only seem to last active on threads you've contributed to for a certain amount of time. And there's not even any indication whether you've already posted in a thread like on most forums... a few times I've thought "oooh, that looks interesting" only to find I've already posted in there and since I'd slept since then, completely forgotten I have a bookmarked thread that apparently I haven't read - and I've checked them all and they are all read - I keep up with all my bookmarks untill I have read them - your latest thread is bookmarked cos I might be looking when I should be working so behind a fire wall that doesn't let me see pictures - that way I know I'll get back to it when I'm not working and when it's all finished I'll unbookmark it Build threads I treat a little different they never get un-bookmarked unless there is no hope of it ever being finished I even book my own build threads cos it makes them easy to find...... Where was I?

Hi, bstardchild Your life must be full of wonderment, wonder what that does, wonder where that came from etc etc. Still, it seems you have Mrs BC to keep you grounded. Colin

Colin Mrs BC constantly reminds me that curiosity did something to a cat..... Not sure what it did but I'm happy to report that both my cats are fine The little one did give me a bit of a scare while I was at RRG but she has recovered.

We have six cats.
Thats enough curiosity in this household so i'm told.
I am not to question the amount of cushions one needs around the house.
I live in fear.
