What do you get to see at work?

With me working for a motorfactors, as well as the drab mondeos, peugeots rep mobiles etc, we occasionally get some real nice stuff come in. Ive managed to get pics so tell me what you think and show me what you get to see at work.....

I get to admire these on the way to get a coffee of a morning



Once a year we bring in our toys as well - these are my team mates cars, yes that is everything from a Yugo to a Lotus!

Worked for an airport valet company part time prior to retirement and got paid to drive customers cars like all the sports cars such as Porsche and an Audi Quattro box shape just been restored even tip toed about in a Bentley. Some older cars and the odd retro were fun and driving a London taxi was a real pleasure. It is surprising all the hype about certain cars disappear when you drive them.Always remember delivering a rs turbo escort all noise wheels and spoilers back to the airport expecting a young lad to appear but no a mature lady appeared and said thanks for looking after my car. Turned out it was a retirement gift. All the drivers crew applauded this lady as she took off up the road short shifting out of sight. An American chevy truck was good fun all v8 and lairy but probably best of all were the every day retros that were used as daily drivers. Great fun and heaven for a car enthusiast.

That would be a Range Rover Evoque convertible prototype..... I see them every day at the moment, and well the less said the better, lol

I also work for a multinational engineering consultancy. Our company vehicles are, of course, almost all near new but being a car enthusiast seems almost a pre-requisite for being employed in this office. At last count there were only three vehicles from this century among the varied selection owned by the team here.

They are indeed Evoque Convertibles in prototype form, apparantly they failed the crash tests catastrophically, probably by having the roof cut off, so came to a place on our estate to be rectified. Beautiful looking car though.

I get to see some stunners - Polish/Slovak women, mainly. But no cars. Or at least, none worth a mention.

Working in the engineering side of a certain large car company in the Midlands, I'm not technically allowed to take photos of stuff on site but we do have a couple of the aforementioned Evoque convertibles going about.. along with F-Types and Project 7s, some of the competitor cars are quite cool too, there was an i8 around for a while not long ago

The employee car park is pretty well stocked with cool cars though, some of the regulars I can think of off the top of my head: Mini Marcos, Volvo 120 estate, Sierra XR4i(?), Mk2 Granada estate, 90s Maserati Quattroporte, TVR Griffith, TVR Chimaera, Citroen DS, Porsche 356 replica(?), Silvia S15 amongst others

special props to the Mini Marcos guy though who seems to drive it in most weathers, and its got a nice aged look about it

In the works car park there is occasionally a 205 GTI 1FM/205 CTI (know the owner) and a very nice early black beetle, lowered on banded steels. Oh and in the winter someone brings in a very old canvas roof series defender.
Everything else is a silver/white or blue modern.
