Hi All.
I've recently bought a 6N2 GTI Polo. It had a few niggly points most of which I've sorted. However the central locking is a weird one. It works i presume judging by the pump/compressor/vacuum thing in the boot either by comp air or creating a vacuum. However it all works fine using the key fob, but if you are in the car and using the door central locking switch to lock the car from inside, the pump locks the doors fine, but just carries on whirring and whirring and doesn't switch off at all. I sat in there for nearly 5 mins this morning, and its kind of gets a bit disconcerting. Now is this a normal safety feature does anyone know so the doors cannot be forced open from outside, or is there something wrong with the door switch. I really wouldn't have thought it would need to run for that long as it doesn't when locking with the keyfob button.
Any thoughts appreciated.
