Photos of the car currently residing in Aylesbury, which a friend is looking to sell on behalf of his sister in law.
It is a BMW 2002 tii, manufactured in 1973. The engine is 2.0 naturally aspirated with fuel injection, and the car is left hand drive.
As you can see the upholstery is completely shot, however on the face of it the body seems reasonably rot free.
It was brought over from Kenya about a year ago when the owner moved back to the UK.
No attempt to start the car has been made & I'm unsure of the mechanical condition so suggest best to assume this is a non-runner.
They have the import paperwork and copies of the original ownership papers.
It does not appear to have been registered in the UK, but there is a letter from HM customs and revenue saying that this can be done.
From the Web:-
In 1972, BMW introduced the Tii (Touring, international, injected) version of the already hugely popular 2002 sports saloon.
The Tii featured a 2.0-litre, SOHC inline-4-cylinder engine with a Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection system that produced 130 hp at 5,800 rpm and 130 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm. Wider wheels, upgraded suspension and brakes were also part of the sporty package that could get to 60 mph in 9.0 seconds and a top speed of 115 mph, this was the sportiest of the 2002 road cars from β72 to β74. Some would say the Tii was one of βthe single-best fun, usable daily drivers ever.β
Any help regarding value or even offers to buy would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Dave F
