Well its been a bit of a secret this car, but as of yesterday a deposit was paid, and it just needs collecting. The car is a 1968 Holden HK Brougham which has a 307ci Chevy engine from new (in 1969 Holden started putting in their own V8s).

Yes they had some unusual ideas for Holdens most decadent model of the time; as Holden decided to stop assembling small numbers of Chevrolets and replace them with a special version of their usual local product. Need a rear side view to show off that extended tail.
Congratulations upon your return to Holden.

Is it 5 x4.75 PCD? If so there are some absolutely gorgeous 5 slots on R&S for sale, with tyres, for ÂŁ450. I think the rear looks a little Mk3 Cortina with the lights and trim, what ever I do think it is rather nice. P.

Jelly bean slot mags are the only real wheel choice!)
The HQ was the same as jag/ Chev bolt pattern 5x5"? From memory anyway
You need to get Johnnybravo to press you some cills...
The Brougham was fully loaded with all the options like a Premier wasn't it?
Got any details on its previous history
Anyway this means as I haven't bought the other one a Charger will come up for sale, so win win:)

Supposedly fully loaded, but don't know the options that were available.
Should have brought the history back with me, but all I know is that the first owner was the head of GM Europe.

Pretty sure Standard, Special, and Premier trim levels stopped at the HR and from then on the bare bones model was a Belmont, the slightly higher spec one was a Kingswood, and the top model was the Brougham which had a different, larger, body shell unlike the Prem which was the same shell as the Standard and the Special. When they got to the HQ they still had Belmont and Kingswood while the Brougham equivalent (again with a different, larger, body shell) was called Statesman. How did you even find a Holden in the UK? Were they sold new there in the land of Vauxhall or was it a private import?
