REALLY should never have sold this one ... And this was such a useful bit of kit, sorely missed... Ahh, the 'glory days':

I can tell you it's a Nissan D21, we got them over here but they all seem to have disappeared now.... Much like the VW Taro which was just a re-badged Toyota Hilux

Here's a rough idea....

My old sierra 4x4 estate, didn't look like an XR but was and then some. As an ex-rally chase/service car it had a Full safety devices roll cage, adjustable coil overs at the front, cossie Sump, DIff and Tank guards, Cossie diffs and brakes, recaro interior, and an ex police 2.9v6 engine. Was my favourite street sleeper and i broke it for parts, can't even remember why i did My God that sounds the absolute nuts. Yeah it was a load of fun, especially when used to embarrass fast cars when it passed them. Also got used on a couple of road rallies and Autotests (very very muddy autotests!)

I miss my old 1.6 Crusader that I had for 13 years, 12 of which it was used as a daily driver. 5 years later I bought this as a second car.

I ran a cheap MKVI for a while. I treated it like **** for a year and it proved to be nigh on indestructible. Cracking little car. I got an email about 3 years after I sold it (for about tuppence) from its new owner telling me how brilliant it had been for her too. For me, mostly I was ready for a change so that's why they got sold. Except.... I wish I hadn't sold my MKII Golf Driver but I didn't really know what to do with it at the time, and didn't have the spare time or money. I never actually sold my Alfa 156 as such, I sold parts then scrapped it, but I still get a pangs whenever I see one and think "I used to have one of those". Quite tempted to buy another but in sportwagon form. I'm going to replace my current Saab next year because it could really do with some tightening up of the suspension but the state of the shell is such that it isn't really worth spending the time and money. I know i'll miss that. Yeah thay are good cars mate, I drove mine to the uk in august for ford fair then all round the uk and it didn't miss a beat. Cracking car. I'm not massive into alfa's, but I must say a 156 sportwagon sounds lovely, I shall have to Google that. How long you had the saab then dude? I've had it 2 years and 15 days exactly. I know this from the tax disc in the screen that expired at the end of September 2014.

Nice car. I rather like the style of the Mk3. My ex-wife had a 2000E for a time in the '90s and I enjoyed driving it. Cool to get your first car back. Do you not find it underpowered? Most people I know here in New Zealand wonder why these were ever offered for sale with the 1.3 litre engine although I do remember a neighbour when I was a child who bought one new and last I heard still had it. His was a four door though. Very few two door ones were sold here, perhaps they were all private imports.

Aww, that's not so good, such a shame as it looked quite a pretty little truck before hand. Hopefully it can be repaired. Hope you were all ok.

I was pretty beat up after but nothing broken, the offending driver broke her foot but aside from that was very lucky. Still awaiting news regarding repair. I'd be amazed but over the moon if they can repair the truck but I'm not holding my breath as it seems a long shot.

two big regrets. first is my original GTE which was nursed back to skeletal health, then reborn as track day car, cage, buckets, diff, big brakes, thumping 220bhp N/A engine. second is my mk2 polo coupe boulevard, much for its rareness, mostly because it was the best all round car i have ever owned, to date. fun, well built, reliable, diesel scaring economy

my old mx5, bought it on a whim via ebay from the other side of the country, it was my 2nd ever car and I loved it to bits. Could easily buy another, but it wouldn't be the same. It was also before they were cool/low/scene/drift cars! (I crashed it twice trying the latter)

Bit of a strange story with the Sierra sold it in 2011 to a rather eccentric fella in Milton Keynes area,, we delivered the car on a mates low loader,, when the guy opened his garage he had a vw corrado not used for a few years , my mate bought it for £50 unloaded the Sierra loaded the corrado on and off we went ,, the Sierra has been on sorn since !!! So a 14,000 mile car is just sat in garage somewhere in Milton Keynes I should of kept the fellas details!!! The corrado incidentally made well over 1000 quid on ebay
