I finally got a gearbox back in the Micra at the weekend, and dropped it off for its MOT yesterday. The result has come back negative but it's not as bad as it could be. The headlight aim has been adjusted, the flashing white driving lights disconnected and the sweep of the wipers modified (in order to make them rest away from the big crack that was within the swept area) It's all gone a bit old school with a single wiper conversion, I made a straight arm by cutting and shutting a straight rear and cranked front arm, currently the rest of the mech is unmodified.   It also needs a pair of front lower arms, as the forward bush housings on these had been a bit worn through to the bush. They are coming via ebay in the next couple of days. |

Continuing the freshen up of my Saab turbo engine to get it ready for dropping into my Rover P6  I collected an engine stand after work, got home and made an adapter to bolt the engine on so I can continue working on it and start fabricating the custom sump etc  |

I moved workshops over the weekend. That was... fun...
I also wired the towbar on the Patrol, got it MOT'd and took it home tonight. I need to update my build thread actually.
I broke my e36 drag racing the other weekend, so I need to see what's bust and how much it's going to cost. Obviously having two working cars at the same time was too much to ask.

Going to put a coat of polish on my CL500 today and might even fill it up  Also, as the Wife's daily passed its MOT on Monday, it's going to get clay barred, polished and sealed today in readiness for the coming winter. If we finish early enough, will try n take the W140 somewhere local to get some decent pictures of it for my thread. |

I've been trying to figure out how to get the driveshafts out of a Mini subframe...... The hole isn't big enough. And brute force and ignorance (my 2 favourite tools) don't appear to be working. I'll have to find an expert and ask them  |

Got my slotmags resealed after leaking a fair amount of air, hopefully done the trick. Still need some adapting to fit properly  Lowered the little Renault some more too - going to leave it alone now and finish off the MOT stuff it needs   |

If your mags are a bit porous and the tyres won't stay inflated why not just put tubes in them?
