Hey guys
I am moving soon and my place of work it is only 3 miles away so will no longer need a diesel.
I want to be able to get classic insurance so I am looking at 1996 and older (I can wait a month) and the cars I am looking at tend to be Japanese imports.
But I am struggling to find classic insurance for japanese imports?
Can anyone advise?
Cheers

Thanks - I have already grasped the concept of Google search.
Anyone with actual experience with a classic import and who you used?

I use Adrian Flux for my 91 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo, I don't like Adrien Flux, but they were the cheapest. The biggest problem I had was going in with 9 years ncb and coming out with 0! Alot of classic policies don't add to your ncb, however they still wanted proof when I took the policy out!

You said you were "struggling to find classic insurance for japanese imports". Your words...not mine. That search result provides a number of companies that provide insurance for classics and imports. I know because I've been calling around about R32's....

I havnt insured my truck yet but did a quick check for insurance, Adrian Flux had absolutely no issues with it. My insurance history isn't great, and I was not putting my ncb against it but it still came back as a fraction of the cost of other vehicles I've tried. But there is a lot of bad news surrounding Flux

The one bit of advice I can give to anyone who wants to use flux is if you don't want to renew the policy let them know at least a year in advance, by writing, email, telephone and carrier pigeon. then just to be certain close the bank account they have the details of because they WILL NOT get the email, the letter will be lost in the post, the person you spoke to on the phone will have left and the carrier pigeon will be eaten by a cat.

I was recommended greenlight insurance by a fellow car guy. Have used them now for 2 years on both my cars. The mx5 I have is a mk1 import 1.8, 1993 I pay little under £400 for it on a 7500 limited mile policy, with the few small mods declared they're a great bunch of guys, each time I've spoken to them it was always a pleasure. Obviously its not a 'proper' classic but its near enough Hope that could be of some help Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Never heard of them before but Googling them brings up lots of good stuff, that looks like a good tip.

They do get great reviews and were recommended by a hot rodder mate of mine- they weren't phased by my unusual Japanese car- most people wouldn't touch it, as they couldn't find it on their computer.....really good to talk to as well!

Had a couple of Aristos and my 87 Toyota Sprinter through RH Specialists. Cheap as dirt, limited mileage, garaged etc and other restrictions applied.

I found it easy also I have a mk1 mr2 supercharger 1987, agreed value, limited mileage, all extensive mods declared (which with flux was a total ball ache) £170 a year. Adrian Flux , although I will NOT be renewing with them even though I've had no claims etc, their customer service is shocking.
I had a 1996 Delica which I was able to insure pretty much most places, I started with direct line then I ended with Admiral cause they were cheapest.
