Hi , I have to move on my project for a new one coming , its a Daihatsu compagno 1967 no v5 so will have to be applied for , 52,000 miles on the clock , looks worse than it is my welder friend said theres 2 days max welding needed to the driver floor and rear arch , the patches on the car are rust turner which has turned rust back into metal, everything is there apart from front and rear bumpers . The last owner said that he had the engine running but I haven't tried as there are a few bits off the engine in the back of the car and haven't got round to it, managed to do a little bit of sanding and priming on the parts that I can , seats are excellent condition , still has original Bakelite number plates , I believe this is the only one in the country and these are as rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony sh#t so I'm asking £1000 or offers Viewing welcome in Suffolk For some reason I can't seem to upload any pictures but can send them via email or what's app Cheers bear |

The primer has just been roughly applied as I sanded down a lot of the car and went down to bear metal on some parts so its just to protect from the elements , would make a nice hot rod or add some arch extensions and some deep dish wheels for a jdm look , can take more pictures if anyone wants , I think the price is fair considering the low miles and how rare this is

Holy fackballs, that's gotta be unique.  indeed pOG , very rare car even in Japan , theres one for sale on yahoo auctions for 1,500,000yen about £8,000 in good condition but rarely seen for sale , I believe this is the only one for sale in the uk and this is the super deluxe version which goes for the most money more than the coupe for some reason , wouldn't take a lot of work to get this on the road ? and u would have a very unique car |

Forgot to mention the carpets are in the boot but need replacing but can be used as templates , will take some pics of the engine , inside the boot and underneath the car tomorrow , can also send videos of the car via what's app to anyone who is interested

This indeed is an extremely rare car, this was the very first model of Japanese car to be imported in to the UK back in the 1960s.
Daihatsu UK located one of the first British imports back in the late 80s and had it fully restored for its then 25th anniversary back in 1990. This must surely be the only other known survivor now. A great find! Good luck with the sale.

I had one of these as my first car. I learnt how to drive in it, Was not standard, had 14 inch steelies, a 1400 datsun motor with a webber downdraught carb. That was mated to an Alfa 1750 5speed box. My dad sold it on a few years ago, but kept running gear for his datsun pick up.The memories just flood in when I look at this. Can you pm me your contact details
