I'm considering spacers to bring them flush with the arches, I've never used spacers before, what are people's thoughts on them? Safe etc? Proper Bolt on one for the sort of distance you are looking at to correct the offset would be fine and make good sense Universal packers and longer bolts - OK for small corrections but to be honest a bit of a bodge and can be a right PITA and they aren't gonna correct that level of "tuck"

Nice mk1, silver is one of the rarer colours and coupe to boot. Nice. Thanks, never had a Tbar mk1 just by chance more than choice but this time I wanted the coupe, save hassles with possible leaks etc and after having a Tbar Zed and a 100nx, I found I very rarely took them off anyway. I'd never seen a silver one in person before the viewing and immediately loved it.

My previous mk1's.... Hmmm they filled the arches a bit more than I'd expect Wow std cars have a fair bit of tuck if they are OE wheels!!

Yeah the teardrops are so tucked in, seen a couple who've just spaced them out flush and it looked so much better.
You think the MK1.5 was spaced, I never had the wheels off in my ownership, so honestly couldn't say if they were. Only had it a few months though before moving it on to someone who wasn't going to daily it.

Some little interior changes, went for a TRD gear nob instead of home made silver gearnob.

Lastly replaced the original stereo with a nice Sony head unit, a tape was jammed in the cassette player not sure if it was broken or not though as it was actually plugged in when I removed it. That's it for now interior wise. Nout anything extreme just some nice improvements over stock.

If you can afford to store it then do so. It's only going to be harder - and more expensive - to find one later on if you get the aw11 'want' again. I sometimes regret parting with my 190e 2.3-16v as they are getting into silly money terrain for a semi-decent condition one so I doubt I will ever get the chance to own one again. But then I think 'it's just a car, meh', you only live once and there are so many cars to try out... what's the incoming car?

What's happened to the gear lever lol. Lol I know it's pretty stubby, really nice quick gearchange though. All I did as get rid of the silver gearnob, other than that is as I got it.

This is my thinking, yes I love the AW11 and this is easily the best one I've had so keeping it would be ideal but at the same time there is so many other cars I want to try. Currently winning an auction for another WD21 On top of that also looking at another Mx5 for a daily/track car as I've unfinished business with them as I got rid of mine in the aftermath of my head on in my old WD21, that was a mistake.

Yep, you just have to enjoy the moment. The mx5 is one car I will get round to owning (and turbo'ing) but need to get my engine swap sorted before onto the next project.

Yep turbo'ing is the said unfinished business I may list it after crimbo and if I get what I want I'll let it go and if not it'll just live in the garage.
