hi, I am putting a zetec in an older ford, and I just wanted to question what I have come across.. basically I have a fully working donor car ran perfect. unfortunately or fortunately? it has PATS built in the ECU not as a separate box so I cant really bypass it, that's not a problem it still can be used/handy. I stripped the loom out accordingly but came across this unknown plug ? I tried my best to trace it in the donor escort, but one/two wires went to the back of the car and another in some dash loom?! the main thing/question is I have the pats transponder original key and the loom going to the key. the plug on the left with the coloured wires(the plug/loom I'm questioning), if I leave that unplugged would it affect the car running at all when converted? as I still will have the transponder ring and key and the original loom to that connected...
in my head it should run as they are two separate looms and I will have the main PATS connected up fine.. can someone re assure me? have been told by someone that it *should* run fine as that part of the loom is not what I need for my conversion..?? just want to double check - its best to in my experience
photos:
plug on the left is the unkown one ? the one on the right is the PATS loom etc which is complete.
more of THAT plug just incase
thanks in advance, and a Happy new year
