My friend, the one driving the MX5 is currently doing a write up for our most recent road trip which I will post up once he has finished it as it will make for a good read! and we have some fantastic photos
Unfortunatly its so late now and I haven't even got onto the Mk1, This took much longer than I thought. But I will carry on as soon as I can
Many Thanks Taylor

You seem to have conveniently left out the bits about owning a Mondeo and an Up... Nobody can love those.

Jesus! That shell was a bit of a minger! Looks like you've made an excellent job of saving it - I think if it was me, I'd probably have palmed it off!

superb work, I like the idea of using a coloured wax over the white paint so you can see when it wears away, if you don't mind I will steal this for our minor which is already painted white underneath.
It's so easy to buy something far rustier than it appears my Range Rover was just the same, some very creative work with sheets of thin steel (biscuit tin?) stuck on with filler, I know how disheartening it is when half the car crumbles away when all you thought you were going to do was clean up a a small blister, It's great you have just got stuck in and got on with it.
Good luck with the fit up that can also get very expensive, I am amazed how much we are spending on seemingly simple parts like seals and even screws putting the minor back together.

Certainly looks like a brutal time frame to get such a stunning amount of work done, great results to show for it too. Must make you appreciate some of your easier projects. Looking forward to the next stages.

As I masked up 4 windows, I deserve much credit for this whole build.

That is some pretty impressive work there, actually that's a major understatement, that is an EPIC amount of work. Well impressed. So, what engine are you going with then, and what's the overall look you're going for?

Ha, yeah but is your build thread actually filled with any work Benson? Thank you for all the kind comments people! I'm glad you enjoyed the write up To be honest I'm a bit unsure what I want to do and what engine I want, but I do want to make it as usable as possible, I'd like to commute in it in the summer months, road trips and just be able to jump in it and drive it whenever. Really don't plan on showing it or anything like that. I'd rather book a few laps of the nurburgring and go on a road trip
