Quite a bit possibly. If its solid, and original it's probably £7-8,000, may even push over £10k to the right buyer. I'd get it in a good classic car auction personally as Capris have been getting better and better results over the last 18months. A minty Mk3 3.0S sold for £20k last year!

The capri will be up for sale from next weekend, it belongs to one of my very good friends but he has been taken ill and will no longer be able to drive the car, which is very sad as it is his pride and joy.

Hope it goes well for your friend, I know it probably goes against the grain but have you thought of asking about the place that takes the brilliant photos doing a commission sale, they do seem to be able to get top dollar and it could potentially avoid a lot of hastle dealing with messers for your friend.

I did mention it to my friend, we assume the commission will be high, and we have had plenty of experience selling over the years so we should be ok.

The commission is bound to be high, but with the figures they seem to advertise at, I imagine the money in your pocket will still be better than you could achieve yourself.

It wen't for £8800 in the end to a local collector who will be putting some money into it. It wasn't perfect but was a good genuine base.
