I am on the lookout for a nice rust free MK1 MR2.
It would be ideal if someone has a clean shell tucked away, but I realise that is very hopeful. I have another couple of mk1's including a rare tintop which unfortunately is too far gone to repair rust wise, but I would like to build it all into another shell. I would intend to blast, seam weld and respray the new shell, so paint condition and minor dents are not important, just as little rust as possible so I can build something that will last.
If I can't find a nice shell, I am prepared to spend good money on a nice original car, but if I do that I am quite fussy. It will need to be a sunroof or tintop model but not a T bar. It also needs to be in original rust free condition, not one which has had previous rust repairs/ welding or restoration. It will also ideally be red!
If anyone has anything, or knows someone who has, please get in touch. I'm near Colchester in Essex but prepared to travel for the right car.
