Some may know I occasionally make films about historic motoring stuff. I've long been fascinated by abandoned or forgotten racetracks and was lucky enough, last year, to make 3 little films about 3 of my favourite circuits in France as part of a roadtrip. I also managed to blag keys for a new Quattroporte. I'm quite good at blagging. I do this for fun, so if you're expecting Clarkson, it might not be for you. Anyway, here's the first film; Feedback, good and bad, most welcome.

Oooooh yes! I'd been waiting for it I'll be watching this immediately!! When I lived in Clermont-Fd I just loved driving up there in the mountains on my own, no Maser back then though.

Good stuff. I always think your vids should end with a cold beer though, like the MG one. It just makes a nice full stop!

We did an interview in a bar, over a beer, with local man Bibendum (the Michelin man). It was really funny but it didn't make the final edit as it was a bit too daft. The last of the three films ends up in a champagne house. I think you'll like that bit

Thanks Clement. Sorry we couldn't catch up, I would have loved to have your classic next to our new Maserati. Yours is cooler, no doubt! The roads were so quiet. We had a comical car chase. A very French looking man driving an ancient 2CV drove past. It's shown very briefly in the intro. I said "we have to film that!" And chased after him, overtook on a tiny lane, then tried to explain that we loved his look and can we film him. I don't speak any French, he didn't speak English, we ended up miming. He was fantastic, had about 5 rusty 2CVs outside his farm, very French, very cool.
