I am still off work this week and had no real plans so today I made sure I did some stuff. First I booked some flights to California in September so that I can have a grizz style trip to the US of A! After that I was far to excited to stay at home and the weather outside was miserable so I did the thing that any sane person who owns a rear drive American pickup would do and drove to the closest snow covered mountain I could find! The mountain in question was Hohe Acht in the Eifel (Near the Ring) so the route there included some pretty great driving roads and surprisingly the S10 handled them great, much better than 2.5 tonnes of American truck has any right to anyway! I had as much fun on those roads in the S10 as I would have done in any of my old hot hatch racers that I have had before. Whilst there I spotted a lot of muddy farm track roads so thought I would see how it handled light off roading..... You guessed it, it just ate it up! Honestly this is a super versatile vehicle that everybody should own! Last week it was cross country cruiser and today it was off road, rally racer! Any way enough over excited rambling here are some photos of an extremely dirty S10 in the snow. Did you drive through Düsseldorf today? I could've sworn I saw your S10 going in the opposite direction. Same color green, same stickers on the tailgate. Couldn't catch the plate, though. I was in a black Dodge Ram going the opposite direction. Right about here

I did drive through Duesseldorf yesterday! There is another green S10 in Cologne but his doesn't have the stickers, so it was most definitely me! I am also pretty sure I saw your Ram! I went to the Photo exhibition at Forum NRW with my girlfriend. There seems to be quite a few local people on here now! Next time give me a honk on the horn!
edit: You will have also seen how horrendously dirty it is at the moment! Damn winter and daily driving!

Hah, what a coincidence! I only just saw an S-10 out of the corner of my eye and then spotted the color and stickers in my rear view mirror And I hear you on the dirt! Was at a Ram meeting yesterday in Solingen and felt horrible for how filthy it was That's what I get for dailying a black car lol

Awesome! Yesterday was just too nice of a day not to go out for a drive! Going from your Signature photo there is a very good chance it was you I saw yesterday! Will have to make an actual effort to go to some local meets and things this year and maybe even actually meet Mr. @automatik

Hey Retro Rides! I have Been a bit quiet on here of late through to too much work! Now signed off with a dodgy back so have a few minutes to post S10 related news! At the beginning of the year I decided against paying to get my doors fixed and instead booked 3 weeks in California in September! I still think this was a good idea, but the paint problems were still annoying so I thought about a temporary alternative and came across a website that sells paint in aerosols for cheap. I spent way too many hours trying to work out which green my S10 is and decided that it is Forest Green so ordered a tin of Forest Green to try out. One of the many things that annoyed me from when I bought the car was the superglue that had been applied to the door mirror and then run down the front door. As this was a smaller repair I decided to tackle this first. I have never really done any kind of painting before so was pretty cautious. Ended up driving with it looking like this for a couple of weeks... I then got super busy at work so had little time to finish it off. Then about a week ago I got a few minutes to try out my green, I had tried it on a small bit of the rear bumper and it appeared to be a good match but this was the first proper area. All sprayed up it is a pretty perfect match! It needs wet sanding and buffing and stuff and is far far far from perfect but I think it looks way better than the Superglue that was there before. Before. IMG_0405 by Bowling Racecar Driver, on Flickr After IMG_1254 by Bowling Racecar Driver, on Flickr I also have pushed then dent out of the drivers side door a bit. Just need to fill it a bit and then get spray happy again! I know it's far from good but I am rather happy with myself that I just went in feet first and had a crack at something! All the best. Rob

Thanks for the replies dudes! I spent the last 3 weeks in California and totally enjoyed seeing S10s everywhere!! My bank account has to recover and then it will be two more wheels and get the bed sorted. I saw a few lowered ones in USA and they do indeed look cool!

Did offer to buy one but owner declined.

It's been a while since the last update. Since then quite a bit has happened to the S10.
At the end of last year I bought a complete steering set from America for cheap. It only took around two weeks delivery and saved me around 100 euro. I fitted it in December and then in usual style did a 1200km journey to Bodensee and back.
Then (suitably impressed with my first endeavor at importing parts) I decided an ignition spruse up was in order. I bought a new complete distributor for cheap from USA and was super surprised when it turned up after a week and two days!
I also decided I was bored of driving around with a huge dent in my door from when I tackled an Audi over a year ago so set at it with hammers and filler. I drove around for a while with filler door but a couple of weeks ago decided to give it some colour. I also thought it would be a cool idea to paint the lower part black. I totally love it.
And finally a couple of weeks ago I bit the bullet and ordered two more Chrome's for the front. I also decided I wanted fatter tyres on the back so ordered a pair of 255s. The wheels arrived this morning and within half an hour the tyres where on and the wheels on the car.
