Not much has happened with the truck so far, bar enjoying it. Covered close to 2000 miles in her as my daily. Had a little incident in her today, where a pothole made the front passenger wheel develop a knock. Popped into my local garage as didn't have my jack handy and all it turned out to be was a loose wheel, not tightened by the previous owner properly. Lucky really as could've come off at some point if I'd been unlucky. Asked if he noticed anything else needing done and beside two perished bushes and one low tread tyre all looked good So that shaped my first bout of jobs. -New tyres and possibly wheels too. -Replace the worn bushes. -Get the tracking done. Once that is done, I'll have a look at what I'm going to do with the body, as in tidy a couple of scabs and decide on a paint scheme. Thinking of changing the green to black but unsure and will wait to see how the look develops.

Another wee update, currently the truck is at the garage having some love. It's having: -a full service. -a new exhaust down pipe. -rear brake pads. -new water pump. -new speedo dial as last one had a snapped needle. On another note I bought a Jeep YJ the other day, always loved them and this was local with low miles(65K),low owners(2) and had been looked after immensely well with some choice upgrades. Not 100% sure on it's future, going to enjoy it over the rest of the summer and then see what I want to do with it. It's the 4L version and I'm loving it!

had one of these. removed EGR, replaced overboost BOV with a brass bung, removed egr throttle butterfly in the crossover pipe, wired wastegate shut and wound the fuel up. went really well @ 25psi with lots of fuel! the front ends of these I found are fairly fragile, esp compared to a mitsi pajero or similar. lots of guys in nz swap tie rods and bits and pieces out for 2wd versions which are stronger. brace steering relays and all sorts.
good fun machines. would own another!

Hi mate, Read about the front ends, some good how to's on the NZ and Oz forums so there is lots of foot for thought. Was thinking of doing a few of those mods, plus maybe adding a intercooler and switching the turbo, some have used the TD04? They are great trucks, really capable.

Well the Wrangler is gone, 13mpg and my love for this beauty meant it didn't stand a chance in the end BUT it was great fun to own and I always wanted one so I'm pretty happy with getting the chance to have one.
So back to the WD21, I've just been driving it and enjoying it really.
I ordered some new wheels and tyres last night and also a fair few new polybushes. After these and the tracking is checked after fitment all the little maintenance jobs etc will be done. Go over the trans cooler system, make sure all is well, seems to be.
Then some of the fun jobs can start.
Jobs to do once above is complete:
-Take it to a body shop to have it gone over with a keen eye so I can keep ahead of the game in terms of keeping rust at bay. -EGT and Boost gauges fitted. -EGR blocked off -Intercooler added (Terrano 11) -2 1/2 inch turbo back exhaust, side exit maybe? -increase fuelling. -Upgrade turbo maybe. -Find some one to make a custom winch bumper and rework rear bumper/remove tow bar.

Some more pics at last, got my new wheels and tyres fitted today, note to self need to get a jack than can lift the truck! From my calculations the change in tyre size has given a two inch lift which I'm pretty happy with too. My polybushes were also delivered today so will look to get those done when time allows.

The 'ol girl is currently in getting the polybush treatment and tracking done. I've picked up a intercooler and associated bits and bobs too. Now a little twist in the story, I've got a new daily(see pic) and the truck just isn't getting used very much and I'm considering my options in terms of putting it up for sale! Some thinking is needed. It's such a cracking truck and it deserves to be used. i'll continue to perfect and improve it in the mean time though

I'm considering my options in terms of putting it up for sale! Some thinking is needed. If you do, I'll give it a week before your hankering after another one! You do see Terranos here, although not in great numbers and all two door (that I've noticed anyway). Handy looking trucks.

I use to have an 87 2 door that I used for mudding. Awesome truck.

Brought it back from the garage today as had to move a few bits around(Luckily they hadn't started the bushes yet!).
Just love it every time i see it! So unique and has such a great presence. The drive is so smooth and comfy.
Really not sure what to do with it at the moment, I know i'd regret letting it go but at the same time I don't want to see it sitting around for weeks at a time.
I don't need to sell it, it would just be a case of letting someone else enjoy it to save it having periods of inactivity.
I may put an advert up at a price I think it's worth and if someone comes and falls in love with it like I have and are happy to meet it's value then so be it.

The weathers starting to get bad and that Volvo will be useless in floods/snow etc, I'd keep it if I was you! I'll keep an eye on the adverts section!

Do you have somewhere to dry store it? I like these, really don't see them around though!

I'll keep an eye on the adverts section Very true about the possibility of snow, never had it too bad in terms of floods this way. Touch wood! I know that sod's law, i'd need the truck if I do let it go and if I keep it we'll have a mild winter here in Norfolk.

Do you have somewhere to dry store it? I like these, really don't see them around though! I do actually have the possibility of dry storing the ol girl but I always prefer to see vehicles doing what they were built to do. I've never actually seen one aside from the two i've had. When talking to the previous owner who lives in Consett apparently in the snow and ice, he was getting up hills that Defenders and such like wouldn't manage. That may have been down to driver skill or lack of but these truck are known to be pretty awesome in adverse conditions. I was following it the other day when in my Volvo and i kept trying to justify keeping it haha Need to grab some more pictures of her to show just how cool she is

So I've been back driving it around now for the past few days, I've been tooing and froing, keep or let go. I can't decide!!
I think when i get a moment I'll put an advert up but until then if anyone fancies the ol girl then £1900 takes it. That obviously includes the £300+ worth of polybushes, the intercooler, spare set of wheels, and a mountain of spares including a spare wheel carrier for the tailgate.
