Hey guys.
So I have a leaky carburettor on my Cressida (4M), and have in my possession a rebuild kit for it.
I also have this:
Toyota Manual - Carb Section
Which seems to give pretty clear instructions (better than a book of lies).
There is also some instructions that came with the kit but looks more like an exploded diagram with bits pointed out in order of removal.
This is the first time I've done anything more complicated with a carb than spraying cleaner or instant start down the throat, however, so I am not 100% sure on things I should be looking out for.
I have carby cleaner, I will have a small 1/4 socket driver and associated bits, an assortment of screw drivers, etc.
I don't need any gasket goop or threadlocker do I? I'm guessing 'firm' is enough torque for screws and bolts.
Should I just soak everything in some cleaner before reassembly?
Any tips on how to not break things, and what not to or to do would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt
