Looks like an eye-wateringly awful collection of tired and faintly offensive stereotypes to me.
I see you have got the old 'Frames'/'Starion'/'Terryvision' 'joke' about the Japanese in there - money in the bank that one

I worked for a Tier 1 automotive supplier in the mid '90s and it was a very interesting experience. I remember talking about FMEAs which is a quality improvement method, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and being told that Rover called them F**K Me, Everything's Alright.

There's no mention of Starion or Terryvision. The aim is to entertain and educate, not offend. You don't have to buy it.

KickStarter ends on Friday, lots of backers, many from Retro Rides, it seems. Thank you all.

Sorry I'm not one of them. A certain Hanoi and Saigon Banking Company has stopped my credit card, having allowed a fraudulent transaction to got through even after ringing to see if it was me. That was only three months ago!
Anyway, best of luck.

A little update. The lawyer has done his thing and thankfully very few changes were needed. I've ordered two print copies for final proof reading and QA purposes, they'll be here in a week. I'll then hit 'go' and get a large batch printed in order to send out copies to backers. We are on track for September, as per plan. Thanks again to those RRers who helped back this book. I had a certain popular TV car show script writer read it, he said its "hilarious" which really, really made my day.

Mine landed yesterday also. I don't plan on doing much today, so I might have a read before the Grand Prix.

Thanks for the feedback. Everyone should have received their copies by the end of this week, apart from those who haven't responded to email requests asking for their postal address, or their bank details bounced. Anyway, apart from those few, I hope everyone gets their copy soon and I wanted to thank everyone for the incredible feedback. I've had a lot of (rather unpleasant) stuff on my plate lately and the good vibes received because of the book is something else. Thank you.

Thanks for sending mine all the way out to the Antipodes! I've finished reading it already, but every chapter left me wanting a lot more detail. I suspect that most of the juicy bits were redacted on legal advice. One day I'll have to buy you a couple of pints to get the real story!

I sent a few copies at Oz and was really pleased to see so many exotic addresses when sending. Quite a few to the US, Scandinavia and Holland, among other places. Actually, the lawyer I used was pretty good. The only thing he insisted on was removing a joke I wrote about Jamie Oliver, for some reason! Beer? Please!

Next book well underway. A much meatier piece of work, but with the same levels of twaddle, you'll be pleased to hear. I'm gobsmacked at how well "confessions from quality control" has done.
