Great little project. Can`t wait to see it finished. I see your in Cheshire also. Might see it if you ever take it to a local show. I started the Fbook page so I could get a few owners together and put a few pics up. Oh and I have a couple of two doors as well. Feel free to chuck a few pics up if you do the fbook thing I`m sure everyone on there would love to see your car. Here is the link www.facebook.com/groups/388687557952769/Tony P.S Are these the pics of the roadster someone mentioned? Not seen this since I posted the advert goodness knows how long ago. I wish I hadn't sold it now, it was a bit lairy to drive but without doubt the greatest piece of automotive sculpture I will ever create. I sold my Green 2 doorToledo with the red interior a few years ago. I still have my red 2 door with a twin plenum Rover V8 fitted, recapturing my misspent youth. A bit prehistoric as an engine choice these days, but what the hell I have 5 Triumphs all fitted with V8s which is why the green Toledo had to go. It only had a 4 pot and didn't generate the fear of the V8! Love the look of this Honda engined Toledo Are you Neil Brown? Do you have a copy of the Triumph World with your Toledo roadster ? I'd love to see full photos of it again. It opened up the world of customised cars to me Cheers Phil

bought one these because the Honda fuel sender didn't much the Ohms range of new ETB gauge only place I could find with enough flat space was this corner of tank mounted with M5 s/steel bolts hopefully these will look at home in the Toledo dash drove over to Tweeks this week to get these fitted, the Yokos I've use in the past are no longer road legal because they exceed decibel levels,we also sent a lot of time this w/end wading through the wiring harness, sure looks a lot slimmer now.

When I did mine, I had custom braided hoses made to go all the way to the caliper from the chassis, was only 30 or 40 quid. Not a fan of a copper brake pipe to the back of a sliding caliper, granted Jon himself used that setup for many years of hard use, just looks a bit pokey. Really must get my car driving again.

Did have some short flexi hoses made up ,like you say about 50 quid but the angle was to acute to bend round upright so thats why there in copper, not to bothered about fatigue because the thing probably wont do 500 miles a year

stripped down dash marked out for new clocks carefully opened speedo and tacho holes new clocks 1mm bigger O/D,used die grinder with fine burr and dead slow, steel plates to stop bit digging into rebate not first choice tool but don't own a router and jig, just clamped down and drilled slowly on radial arm drill all the hole saws were slightly under size of clocks so opened up with die grinder again finished off with some model makers matt brown paint this is where we re up to with wiring,DBW and fuel pump work, not attempted to start it yet though the immobiliser bypass gadget

little bit of progress today, fitted clocks using a Dolomite warning light cluster because new clocks have none fitted,so glad the woodwork went ok because the dash as a nice bit of figuring in it for a Toledo one. modified the Toledo dash loom, lots of soldering, still a bit to do after a lot of research online Mike the spark eventually found a diagnostics that would work with a APT2 ecu,bit of luck it wont be long till its fired up,it was five years ago last time that happened.

You mention it's been five years since starting the engine.
Do you have any advice on best practice specific to the F20?
Mines been about the same amount of time. I've spun the engine manually a couple of times but I'm very dubious about cranking it without priming the oil or dropping some oil down into the pistons.

Glad you've used the dolomite warning cluster, I do like the way the pie slices light up. I've actually got one that I plan to wire up to a battery to use as feature but can't work out how the pins work - does each slice just have a + and - ?

Some do, some don't - from memory there's a mix of common-fed lamps and some standalones depending on how they work.

Hi benjyb sorry no specific advice,I ll probably just crank over without plugs connected to let oil prime up and circulate,Ive just turned over periodically with crank bolt.
