Moan moan moan! That's about all you seen to hear in KGF threads these days. Seriously, have you nothing better to do? You think the car is overpriced, don't buy it, don't comment on it. It really is that simple. As for "greedy" dealers..... ! Why would they sell a car for less than they think they could get for it? The whole point of being in business is to make money. What they paid for the car is totally irrelevant. Fair play to them if they make a huge mark up. Would you settle for a lower salary at work if you thought you could get more? Anyway, rant over. Personally, it looks about as clean as you can get, with genuine low miles. These early MX5's have been threatening to shoot up in price for a while now. Find another like this....,doubtful.

I like to see what this firm sells but I can't afford, however that white balance is close to brighter than a nuclear flash

You could however spent 6 - 8K on a crappy MX5 and not get it to such a standard as the one KGF are selling.

+1 for how much I enjoy looking at KGF adverts. The cars are astonishingly well presented and looking costs nothing.
I love the old pub bore drivel that goes along the lines of 'it's easy to just buy a car for ££ and flog it on for ££££, it's profiteering etc etc' - OK, so why don't we all do it and have loads of nice cars for sale in our showroom and masses of cash in the bank?
As for the nonsense that it takes classic cars out of the hands of working class heroes - there's plenty of cheap classics out there but yes, if your heart is set on a mint 2 door MK1/2 Escort and you've scraped together £1000, you might need to adjust your expectations. At least these market forces mean that lots of cars that were once being scrapped or banger raced are now being looked after for posterity. If you can't afford to buy what you want (who can?) you can always go to shows/meets/museums and so on and count on seeing some nice examples. Not quite the same as owning and driving but that's life. I don't think anybody can truly plead poverty when they are talking about running additional vehicles purely for a hobby, running the cheapest classic on the road is going to cost you, what, £500 a year?

I love what KGF do, the methodical detailing and the obvious knack for sourcing pristine low mileage vehicles and presenting them to the best possible standard. It's a well rehearsed niche.
That being said, they go for absolutely gold with retail prices, I'd love to see the purchase invoices on some of these..
But why the hell not, if nobody wants it they'll drop it. If they're happy to sit on stock for months on the odd occasion and can accommodate the vehicles then they might as well try.
You can't balk at other people possibly having an opinion on their prices, they're fully entitled to one.
That being said, best of luck with this one.
Jim.

Very nice mk1 MX5 and beautifully presented, however the alloys are incorrect for a 1.8 of that year, they are off the 1.6.

A video tour of that old Yugo that looked fresh out the factory was good.
