I have a feeling if they were RWD they would be much more sought after. I was going to buy one of the cheaper ones as a winter run around until i found the Sierra p100 ive been wanting for a while. They are still on my list to own in the next couple years. Being a Capri man i need to know what the successor is like. Yeah I think we all wished they were RWD. FWD was seen as the way forward and the platform was already developed by Mazda so it was less costly for Ford to go that route. I bought my first in March 2000 and second in 2009 - I still own both, they aren't a class leader but there is something about them. The guy who runs the club is an ex capri owner. We have many members who have bought one as a stop gap after a Capri and found that they quite like them. I doubt they'll ever reach Capri money but they are an affordable entry into the car scene. I've been taking mine along to classic events for years now. £2k would probably get you a near concours example, £300-£500 gets you a tatty one with MOT.

Was a good show, made a last minute decision to head up on the Sunday which wasn't too bad as normally it's very crowded. Got to see and talk to a few folk on the various stands applicable to the cars I own, also got to see some of the cars my 'poor' relatives had there.
