As others have said, am loving this also.
While I get what has been said re the clocks and interior, I suspect that it's another level in terms of time, commitment and problem solving to make work.
Keep doing what you're doing, the formula works and I'm sure with each evolution there are minor tweaks that can't be seen that make each one that little bit better than the last.
As you were.

I don't understand the negative comments in the posts above, it's like have they got nothing better to do, f*ck off, jeez... Maybe me, but I don't see any negatives. A couple of people mentioned the modern interior and how they'd change it (their prerogative), whilst also saying they'd love one, and the reasons why things are as they are has been very well put. There was one piece of nice British irony though! Nowt negative that I can see.

Yeah I agree, we all have personal preferences, or would do things a little differently maybe, don't mistake that with criticism! I'm sure all this input is very well received by Paul, it's always good to capture some real world feedback! Chris.

Paul, can we have a video with the new exhaust on it. Would love to hear the beast come alive.

Have to say the rears look spot on! Well to me anyway. How does the 4x4 system cope with a bit of tyre rake?? Wheels and spider caps are sexy

I think this one is going to be the best yet, looks awesome.
Next one needs a Porsche V8 turbo engine...

love it! just a thought (not a criticism...that would be glaringly obvious) but do you have enough clearance at the front end to play with the offset of the front rims? looks like you are not far off being able to tuck the fronts in rather than attacking the arch?

Love ALL the comments, makes me happy to have a community that understands it all. Bitchin'Cool! I'm going to play with the arches, maybe not cut them much at all- I really don't know yet, until I start mounting everything permanently. Meanwhile, I took the engine out of it to do a few jobs on it, like lifters and cam, paint the valve covers, new water pump etc. I'll get some pics up soon. Today I was at the North American International Auto show in Detroit Michigan. SUPER cool stuff and I saw a few amazing things. Maybe a thread on that in a few days. My regular job has been kicking my ass lately along with a whole host of other regular life bull$hit. Target date has been moved to the end of the month for completion, full work week next week. Hell, I have to work tomorrow- Sunday. But- you take it when it's there. More soon... Yes- I'll get a video of it with the cam AND the exhaust in a few days.

I took the engine out of the truck. I put it on a stand and upgraded the Camshaft to a performance unit, lifters, pushrods and valve springs. I had to make the tool to compress the springs because it was $200! I also put new head gaskets, cleaned the valve covers and the timing cover with a bit of bead blast. I put the engine BACK IN the truck, connected the exhaust and starter, a few sensors and the motor mounts. Then I called it a day. It was an easy 12hr day out there but it had to get done, and now it is.
Regular job this week, so it'll be done in little spurts. I took pics but they were with an oil covered phone, so the images are curse word, but you'll get the idea. I'll post those up one night this week. I should be able to start the engine with the new cam and full header exhaust. I heard that it might not idle with this cam and the stock ECU tune, but that's alright- once the body is done, it already has plates and insurance, I'm going to road test it. Then it's off to the tuner shop.

I'm going to play with the arches, maybe not cut them much at all- I really don't know yet, until I start mounting everything permanently. It looks like the fender/arches are just laid in place, if you wanted to mimic offset you could pull them out away from the truck to mimic the offset, maybe stack something on the tyre to hold it up and cable ties at the bottom to make it square -- if you know what I mean . I know that isn't a very good description but it's the best my mind can come up with right now! Basically instead of having to alter the wheel or hub to see what various offset looks like, move the fender out until (if) you find an offset you like the look of then measure the gap between fender and body and that is the offset you want. If it was small could you add in a piece at the fender/body joint to save messing with the wheel and it's geometry?

Awesome update, that interior looks great. With fast road cams it will be all over the place, but once setup I think you will like the difference they make. Looking good by the way, you gone skinny! C.

After watching that, it sounds like junk. I think it's because the cam is a different lift & duration, causing the spray of fuel to be delivered at the wrong time, making it lumpy. It almost sounds like a dropped valve, but I just did all new springs and keepers, they're in right. It ran perfect before, so it's almost certainly the ECU tune that doesn't sit right on the valve timing. Either way, it's going to the rolling road like this. If it is something else, they'll know and I'll bring it back home and fix it. We shall see, lots left to do- I have the front end installed, but inner wings and full mounting is not done. I'm home tomorrow so lots of stuff, should get completed. -

I think it sounded killer! It'll all get worked out in tune. Then all that will hold it back with be the red and blue of flatfoots keeping everyone true.

I need to do an update on this, it's almost finished, my regular job has been getting in the way, but I'm getting everything handled. Hopefully I'll do an update this week.

Super busy lately, waiting on the engine tuner to take the truck, so we can get it on the dyno and get it to run properly. Just moving it around is a pain in the because it starts hard and doesn't want to stay running, as a result of the camshaft that's in it. I still have small things like the running boards, the bed floor and rear tail lights left to do. Really haven't touched it in over a week. Getting back to it this week, finally all caught up with other curse word. As soon as I get something interesting as an update, I'll take pics and video.
