Quick question for any knowledgable types...
I've stripped some old forks down and gone to replace the seals but can't find any the same size. The ones in the bike state 27x37x10.5 I can find 27x37x7.5 or 26x37x10.5
Can anyone recommend a supplier of what I need, or can I fit the 26mm ones and stretch them slightly? I think the shorter ones would move around which might cause problems...
Cheers

with how tight seals sit on shafts/stanchions I would go with the 7.5mm height seal, if its a fork seal I doubt it'll move and make a significant difference over the original 10.5mm tall type.
I've seen some forks use an additional neoprene ring under the dust seal so they have to be a little shallower than usual.

some more detail of what the forks/bike are would help!!
27mm on a motorbike? must be old school fairly short travel? my mtb has a 36mm stanchion!

They're from a Chinese cg copy. I believe a hongdou cg125, nothing but the best for me! They're going on my Chinese SS50 copy, a jialing jh50. Really ploughing the darkest recesses of random Chinese bikes

Staniforths list a 27x37x9.5 as part number FS1 They'll be a tight fit into the legs anyway I doubt they will move, if in doubt a little locktite stud and bearing fix will ensure much swearing if they need to be removed at a later date They're one of the main wholesalers if they do them Hi-Level will probably also list them so pretty much any bike dealer who does spares should be able to order them Edit again the 9.5mm refers to the height as the sealing lip is raised the link below for hi level has a pic, I'm sure they should be ok. hilevel1.co.uk/Forks-Components-Fork-Oil-Seals/754540.asp
