	I was wondering if ebay had any winter/pre-Christmas bargains. I always find my favourite section of their classic sales is the "other" bit as I've found some suitably interesting old stuff at reasonable prices in there. Today was no different. I've had my eye on one of these for a while. Imagine it low in a dark bronze metalflake, with suitable striping, some subtle custom work (smoothed handles), could be awesome. 	That's exactly what netted me this a couple of weeks back- eBay 'other' classic cars, something under a grand on the road with potential for mods. It was just tipping into the ''SH1T I need money for Christmas what can I sell' period, so I rang the seller off his number in the ad, made him a cheeky offer which he accepted, and paid him a deposit to pull the auction. We'll not go into it being In manchester, a 14hr round trip away.... 'Cos when all your cars are broken the obvious answer is to buy more ropey old cars.

	Someone who lives near me has a Sapporo just like that silver one. Seeing it around always brightens my day. It's so unbelievably 80s it's untrue and I loved the 80s.

	Surprisingly clean MoT history, what there is of it. Overhaul/repair or replace the current engine and gearbox to see it theoretically mechanically sound, do something about that exhaust and otherwise leave as is. Looks really smart on the original steels and hubcaps at the current ride height and the satin black compliments the lines and the blue of the car. I really rate that, I'd definitely take it under my wing if my situation were ever so slightly different right now (space, money, time etc.).

Maybe just a pair of 2.5" stacks out the back, 1 on each side and banded steelies with the stock hubcaps. Perfect!
