Silver Sierra Sapphire GLSi H668LPE, Gainsborough 02/12/2016 Silver Sierra Sapphire 2.0GLSi reg H668LPE was stolen from the car park of Sanders Maltings, Gainsborough sometime between Thursday 1st & Friday 2nd December 2016. The car is completely standard apart from a set of 7 spoke RS alloys and clear indicators. Anyone with any information can contact 101 & quote crime reference number 120 02/12. The car holds great sentimental value to the owner as it belonged to his late wife. There is a small reward for information leading to the recovery of this vehicle. Only just discovered this car had been stolen hence the lateness of it being shared

I think it is about time the Ford community set up a trap.

The best bet would be to wait for show season, find a tracker that a scumbag has popped on it an old ford, take the tracker to a garage, be waiting inside with a few friends and "apprehend" the people who come to collect the car

Tagging the cars and then collecting? Thats worrying.

As already said yes, theives were fitting homemade trackers to cars at shows all over the place then going around picking them off, easy pickings for them when they know where to find the cars which they have hand picked. One example but there are many more www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1613598

There were reports of people returning from car shows including Ford Fair & finding homemade devices under their cars. Jeez, I don't doubt that for a second but had never heard if it before. Was any of this reported or documented online? It would be interesting to read.

I know this is extreme but I'm going to make a flat trolley sort of thing with mirrors and lights on to check before i leave shows, the car don't get left anywhere else so just at shows. If i ever catch anyone fitting one of theses to my car they will be struck down to the ground!

You can buy a ready made telescopic stick with a mirror on the end for checking under your car, they're commonly used to check for explosives which might have been attached while you were parked. Google car bomb inspection mirror
