there's guys in the states using ML stuff to convert sprinters, a few brackets welded on and i think its the full front end they bolt on!

That's not the one I had heard of actually, looks like a Dana axle of some kind. I found vancompass.com/ whilst watching Dirt everyday extra on motortrendondemand. there's no details on their website of the conversion yet though, but the video is here - www.motortrendondemand.com/detail/tech-tip-converting-a-sprinter-van-to-4wheel-drive-/0_yzxjxphr/its a full Independent double wishbone setup from the ML, subframe and all, only difference is that they use a coilover damper instead of torsion bars. they are planning to sell it as a kit, its nearly all bolt on in regards of location, cut a few holes offer the new cradle in place then weld it in, then bolt all the ml stuff on. |
