Ive just popped onto the sierra owners club and seen this post about a stolen sierra forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=56846&p=644307#p644307"Can I ask you guys to keep an eye out for a much loved Tasmin Blue Sapphire 4x4 Ghia reg.no:- J546 EGC which was stolen from the Shirley/Croydon (Surrey/South East London) area on Saturday night. It was standard apart from the Cosworth wheels,(maybe they thought it was a Cosworth!). If any of you can put this on the Facebook site (I do not have an account) I would be grateful. Thanks in advance." Ive asked him to put a picture of the car up and ill share it on here, if someone could share this on facebook (I'm not on there) or wherever they can it would be great

Not a fan of that forum, tried posting something twice but my comment stating that it was the 4th Sierra taken since the start of December was refused both times by admin without explanation!

Thats not good, it is a very quiet site so it wouldnt be seen by many people, the best bet would be the Facebook group

No point in looking around the area it was stolen, there's no way the tealeaf would be driving it locally. It'll be in bits already.

I'd check the lanes round layhams road and the back of new addington/biggin hill. Its a favourite dumping ground and there is a breakers yard and banger track there as well.

Yeah , nobody steal a car to weigh in for £50 do they and breaking it will not make you more than a few hundred quid after a lot of hard work .

Photos would really help with this. A bluey/silver Sierra sapphire came past me at quite a rate Saturday the 18th coast bound on the M2 between sittingbourne and faversham. Was being chased/followed very closely by a chap on a ZX10R in green. However looking back it was probably at about 7:30pm at the latest
I doubt it was the same car, as from what I remember the one that came past was a cosworth. Either way it wasn't hanging about.

Banger track and breakers long gone, just travellers left up there now. Could well be there, i wouldnt bother checking though...

I called to view a car that was in biggin hill once, upon arrival it turned out to be in that site you describe. However I only realised what it was once I was inside and the gates were shut. Wasn't the most pleasant of experiences.

And the travellers are a nightmare down there.
