Hi folks Family member got a hankering for a car of his youth and as clan greasemonkey/mug I'm off to sunny Swindon to view on his behalf. I've seen a couple out there rotten as hell so presuming tinworm is public enemy number 1. Provided it's rot free (or easily welded) anyone got advice on what to look for or what else kills them? Any experience of parts availability or good online resource/shops? Much appreciated as always folks. P.s. firmly of opinion all old French cars are asking for trouble but it's so goddamn pretty looking

Rust, rust, corrosion and rust. Parts aren' too hard to find. CPUK (owners club a good port of call), peugeotparts.co.uk for most things. Lots of interchaingability with other 04 series cars.
You re right, very very pretty.
In swindon you say... (see location).

Sorry that was a typo I meant Siberia Thanks for the advice I'm strictly J and German (which for some reason is misunderstood on dating sites) so need to hook him up with some horror stories etc to see if he still wants it. I'm in favour but he needs to learn welding and French pretty rapidly to keep up with the dreaded rot Appreciate the advice and will make his purchase conditional on a decent build/resto thread as penance

Club Peugeot UK
Seems the eaty plants people have better SEO than the classic peugeot people.

Wonder which forum is responsible for most insect deaths on any given day? Windscreen death or eaty leaves?
Thanks again pal
