dbizzle, that Jimmy's got a lovely moustache thing going on If I tried that I'd look like a run-over badger Mrs L7 made me turn off Classic Car Hunters after that annoying smug throbber Drew said "mini Aston Martin" one time too many. Watched it once she went to bed. Did not feel my life was improved by the experience. Another car programme opportunity missed by a mile I love people having strong opinions, but if it's clearly on things they know nothing about, it grates the teeth a bit. That "wicker" Traveller has invented a level of hilarity hitherto unknown in the English language. For penance, a well modified Moggy Moggy V8 bay by Nick Liassides, on Flickr Also for penance, proving he's not a completely unsalvageable nob, Pritchard's Beetle, sensitively restored only where needed to preserve its long life story

So much want for that Maserati - totally stunning!
Strange though to spend so much on an old Moggy but leave the roof missing a load of paint lol.

Ive just seen the poor moggy. So far off the mark. Drew may be able to sell people knackered old mirrors that you cant even see your face in by saying 'its beautiful' to someone with more money than sence, but if someone wants to pay that much for a Traveller I don't think they are going to be looking for one that looks quite like that.

Love or hate the wickerwork design on that Moggy, you can't say it wasn't incredibly skillfully done.
If you're into pinstriping check out Neil Meliard's stuff online. It's very good. Years ago I bought a new beetle off him which he'd pinstriped - it was awesome. I was a bit disappointed to learn that when I sold it the next owner 'T Cut' it all off!

Even so, on the odd occasions when I have watched his main show, I have never seen anything I would give more than a fiver for... I see some nice stuff, but I blame him totally for the fact that you can't pick up stuff like old engineers anglepoise lamps or the other kind of stuff he flogs to hipster restaurants, for a decent price any more, if you want to use them for their original purpose.

On that very subject - I obviously beat Drew Pritchard to this lot Bought 13 of them at an auction this week - I only wanted a couple for my work bench but no one else was bidding so I bought them all!!

I did like the XJS they did last night, if it was as good as they said 18K didn't even look to bad a price either.
