Hi bud
Fancy this for my mk1 golf, a little worried wether it will hold up on sticky pads as Ill probably modify the bonnet aswell so its functional, how firm is plastic, say enough to take rivets?

Yeah it’ll take a riveting as long as you aren’t too ham fisted with it.
Some of the modern double sided tapes really are ultra strong though, I wouldn’t have any worries about using them!

Cheers fr€$h&m1nt¥ ... always nice to know we're all looking out for each other on here. It's nice. I'm kind of interested in it but at the same time it's (a) a bit too fancy and manufactured for my crude homebrew plans and (b) it has a surface texture that would be hard to mask and I wouldn't want that kind of textured finish sat atop a matt black bonnet, and possibly (c) it might be a bit small for my bombastic vision. I want a very long, very basic tin rectangle slapped neatly on top of my bonnet. Having said all of that though... JMY (I take it you're a fellow drummer!) does the material have flex in it... by which I mean is it an item that can be pressed to fit some bonnet curves or is it rigid? I'm half wondering if it could be a base unit with those vents already in it and I somehow cloak it in something.

Hey @quatermass,
I am a drummer yeah!
It has a tiny bit of flex in it, but it's fairly tough plastic so it's only a few MM's but probably enough to suit most bonnet curvatures.
Hope this helps.
