Always wanted serious V8 power and performance 4 wheel drive in a Rover SD1. Maybe do a rear wheel drive conversion on a Rover 820 ........ Dreams are free right?? Or upgrade a P5B to contemporary V8 performance? You'd have to go some to beat Charlie Broomfield's SD1 with a 27 litre V12 Rolls-Royce Meteor tank engine in it!

Ford 100e with a Sigma/Zetec Se instead of the usual Crossflow or Zetec iron block options, Caterham 6 speed and Mk1 Escort style bubble arches.

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

My old Mazda 323 RWD wagon would have been perfect with an MX-5 engine and gearbox swapped into it. Much easier than fitting a modern fuel injected 5 speed into a mini as well!
My daily driver is a 2011 Mazda3 sedan I bought new. I'd really like to get a write-off MPS/Mazdaspeed and do a full drivetrain, exterior & interior swap - my current engine is 110kw and the factory tune in the turbo is 190kw, with much more to be gained by bolt on parts. I like the sedan shape better than the hatch, if only I had about $20K and a couple of weeks off work!

I'm quite content with where I am at at the moment. I've kind of found my level with something not too challenging that offers me some nice manageable improvement projects. Not sure I'll keep it another year though, and after this one leaves me I'm not really sure what I will want to tackle next. The one lingering project idea I have had for a while is to take a Brit 50's or 60's saloon and (largely cosmetically) turn it into a vintage PanAmericana rally tribute car. This would mostly be about stripping back and sticking stuff on, but with a much raised ride height and gnarly off-road tyres. The main thing would be a retro paintjob and some hand painted livery for an authentic classic look. Then just cosmetic details like bonnet straps and spare wheel on the roof, and all the necessary touches to try and get close to this kind of evocation... ^ The company logo in that picture, RPS, prepare authentic vintage rally cars for the Paris-to-Peking and Vintage PanAmerican. If I ever got rich, I'd ask them to do it properly for me. Secondly, I've always wanted a straight 6 petrol Bedford J. The British Chevy truck. I'd absolutely love one but they go for zinging amounts of money (20k and upwards) Aside from that, I have felt for a long time now that I'm out of inspiration and ambition, and therefore possibly at the end of my old car phase.
